I messed up a tad on my last story: "It's Only a Cowboy Hat". Frances's horse "Velvet" was a gelding, not a mare, and the bitterly cold Montana winters were in Eastern Montana (not Western). There is a big difference in the degree of severity between the two regions. For one winter, we lived in Billings, while, the following winter we were at the house on Pryor Star Route located between Edgar and Pryor, Montana. I guess I didn't proof read my story too well.
